I love a good denim jacket but trust me when I say, they are not all created equally! I probably own 10 denim jackets and only wear 2. What makes the perfect denim jacket? It’s all about the weight, the fit, and the overall style.
When it comes to denim jackets I want them to keep me warm, but without feeling bulky and boxy. This Free People Baja Denim Jacket is one of my favorites in a longgg time. It’s got a little weight too it but its not thick and bulky. It’s definitely going to keep my warm on a cool summer night or a breezy fall day. The frayed hem, and fit are everything too. I’m a petite 5’2″, so even 9 months pregnant I still went with the XS, and it’s perfect. I love that its not too long, but without having a cropped look to it. Free People is one of those brands where I will spend money because the quality is always good, they last, and they usually have a unique twist to some classic pieces. However, Macy’s is always a great place to check before you buy, because they typically run a lot of sales, and those sales include Free People. If you don’t know your ‘Free People size’ then I would size down, they always tend to run big!
If you’re looking for more of an affordable option, this one is great quality too! I this one from spring season and love it just as much. I just couldn’t pass up the distressed look and the hoodie.
