Remember my blog post a few days ago about 6 unexpected color combos to try this fall? Well now I’m breaking them down and trying them out myself! First up is my twist on the very bold mustard yellow & navy blue combo. Here was my inspiration:

I loved this combination because the yellow is so rich against the dark shade of blue creating huge contrast. It’s just not something you see every day but totally works! I also loved how she had a classic polka dot top to take it up an extra level. My take is similar, but I chose this mustard & white houndstooth swing jacket with a blue and white polka dot dress. This jacket I got a long time ago but here are some similar looks!
